New Eco Schools Committee

Pupils and Staff at Orphir Primary School have held their first meeting of the schools Eco Committee.

The committee are working towards their Bronze Flag and have thought of three action points to work on from now until February. They are
  • Creating a litter policy for the whole school
  • Finding out if we can have recycled toilet roll and hand towels in school
  • Making sure paper is used on both sides before it is put in the green recycle bin

  2. Well done Orphir. I am looking forward to seeing how you get on. How will you make sure that both sides of paper are printed on before they are recycled?

  4. Tip of the Day from Mr T:

Before you print anything you have researched from the internet you need to ask yourself is it necessary to print all the pages or would one do. This will reduce how much paper you need to recycle in the first place.

  6. Thanks for all your good luck messages!

Members of the committee are going to be checking the paper before it gets recycled to make sure that it's been used on both sides. We will also follow Mr Taylor's advice and make sure everyone knows to only print things if they really need to.

We would love to hear any other tips you have!
